Refund Policy
Photography Session and Product Refund Policy
This policy outlines the circumstances under which a client may be entitled to a refund or alternative remedy for photography services and products provided by [Your Studio/Photographer Name].
1. Retainer and Cancellation by Client

A non-refundable retainer (or "booking fee") is required to formally secure and hold your session/event date and time. This retainer compensates the Photographer for their time spent on pre-session activities (consultation, planning, scheduling) and for the financial loss resulting from turning away other potential clients for that date.
Cancellation Notice: All cancellations must be made in writing (email or certified mail).
Forfeiture of Retainer: The non-refundable retainer is forfeit upon cancellation by the Client for any reason.
Cancellation within 2 Days: If the Client cancels the session or event less than 2 days for portrait sessions, 14 days for weddings/events before the scheduled date, all fees paid to date are forfeit.
2. Rescheduling by Client
The Photographer understands that life events may require a date change.
Notice and Transfer: If the Client provides at least 72 hours written notice, the retainer may be transferred to a new, mutually agreed-upon date within 14 days of the original session date. The new date is subject to the Photographer’s current availability and pricing.
Loss of Retainer: If the Client cancels a rescheduled session (second instance of cancellation), or provides less than the required notice for the initial reschedule, the retainer is forfeit and a new retainer must be paid to book a future date.
3. Cancellation or Failure to Perform by Photographer

If the Photographer is unable to perform their duties for the scheduled session/event due to sudden illness, injury, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond their control:
Replacement: The Photographer will make every reasonable effort to secure a competent replacement photographer to fulfill the terms of this Agreement.
Refund: If a suitable replacement cannot be secured, the Photographer's liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid by the Client, including the non-refundable retainer. The Photographer shall have no further liability.
4. Limitation of Liability and Non-Delivery of Images
The Photographer takes the utmost care with respect to equipment, image capture, storage, and processing of the photographs. However, in the unlikely event that photographs are lost, stolen, or destroyed, in whole or in part, for reasons within or beyond the Photographer's control (e.g., camera malfunction, computer failure, theft):
Complete Loss: If the complete set of images cannot be delivered, the Photographer's liability is limited to a full refund of all payments received from the Client.
Partial Loss: If a partial loss of originals occurs, the Photographer’s liability is limited to a prorated amount based on the percentage of images lost, or an offer of a complimentary re-shoot at the Photographer's discretion. The Photographer shall have no further liability.

5. Satisfaction and Artistic Style (No Refunds)
Photography is a service of artistic nature. The Client is hiring the Photographer based on a review of the Photographer's portfolio and artistic style, and agrees that the Photographer will use their professional judgment to determine the location, poses, and number of images captured and delivered.
No Refunds for Subjective Displeasure: Refunds will NOT be issued due to the Client's subjective "not liking" the artistic style, color choices, editing style, or poses in the photographs, provided the images are technically proficient and meet the professional standards demonstrated in the Photographer’s portfolio.
Client Appearance: No refunds will be issued for displeasure with the Client's or their subjects' appearance, clothing, hair, or makeup in the photographs.
